Both households seem to be happy with each other, and even Meenatchi and Saravanan seem to have no doubts about it. Due to some problems, their proposal fails to materialise, and their marriage is now a distant dream. The story doesn't finish here. Despite these problems, Saravanan and Meenatchi are deeply infatuated with each other and are willing to go through anything to be with each other. Each season, it is a similar story, only with the cast changing. We get to see how two people, who are entirely different from each other, fight for each other against the forces of the world.

Their families are against each other too, and this only makes their task more difficult. They need to convince their respective families for the marriage and not be coerced into a wedding they aren't interested in.
