Anyone have problems with their MX150/MX151 locking on to PCM multi channel (5.1/7.1) signal and the processor would only output stereo 2.1? I've had this issue for some time with the PS3 on games output in PCM.

For example in NHL 2K11 the initially lock into 2.1 stereo but if I go into the game settings and cycle through the menus my MX150 would eventually lock into the correct MultiCh signal. This happens to other games in the PS3.

I will check later - I do have a PS3 but rarely use it, and generally bitstream everything from all my sources.I would call Chuck Monday - they are beta testing new firmware, so perhaps this issue is part of the fix list (as the TrueHD decode issue is). I would think if you must, get a demodulator and use the 151 for your surround decoding as it is much more advanced and current. Yes i know what you mean but still have quite some discs and very cool editions and quite few players. It's like a hobbie, but something i don't use quite often.

Anyway the MX-151 is only something i am considering, not a go for now. I am checking a few processors before i make a decision. Also heard MX-151 has some HDMI issues. Is that true?

I am considering also RS20i, and ADA, that is the best for Home Cinema. Hi, I decided to try the voicing app and am having issues.

I am running win8 and the app seems to run fine. I selected some curves saved the file and then with both usb and mac mini(sent through email) tried to upload the file. I am using the web interface as posted on the main page. The usb does not appear to get recognized. When selecting storage nothing comes up as it just shows the defaults. If I select upload I see the mac and can choose the file. I go through choosing the file etc and then when I select update the MX states the file format is not correct.

Note I did confirm I have a name.voicings.xml. Appreciate any insight. I have had an Anthem D2v in the past and recently had Marantz 8801 for a little while, and both of those systems required that your microphone is placed vertical and also in an orderly fashion across the listening area (one in the middle and then few on each side of the central area). I do not see much guidance on microphone placement for my MX150, it sounds like place near walls, floor, ceiling, but nothing specific.
